Currently, in our local community emergency rescue
efforts, the Pagan community has NEVER been represented. It's now time to change that. As Pagans, we now have a very new and very tangible opportunity. We can now BEGIN to make our earth-based-spirituality visible in a very real and productive community-centered way.
HELP AS A GROUP MEMBER IN DISASTER RELIEF!
as we form an Emergency Response Pagan group, I'll keep you informed about how to participate in unison -- be a positive representative in our local communities.
The first opportunity is listed below. [Community Emergency Response Team training (which costs you nothing) will eventually be encouraged but it's not yet required]
FIRST OBLIGATIONS FIRST:
WHAT: a meeting entitled "How Can You Help: Preparing for the Upcoming Flood Season"
HOSTED BY: the City of Auburn & the White River Valley Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD)
WHEN: Thursday, October 22 from 4-6 PM
WHERE: Auburn City Hall, City Council Chambers, 25 W Main St.
THIS MEETING IS FOR FAITH/COMMUNITY & NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS TO LEARN HOW TO ASSIST DURING THE UPCOMING FLOOD SEASON. YOU WILL LEARN HOW TO PROPERLY INTERFACE WITH THE CITY'S EMERGENCY OPERATIONS IN TIMES OF DISASTER.
