Group Overview: I'm interested in meeting other people who have read or are reading Donald Tyson's 'Grimoire of the Necronomicon, ' and/or the other books in his Necronomicon series. I'd just like to hear about other people's experiences with it, and if they've found this particular system useful in their magickal practice. For anyone who lives in the Seattle area, it might also be interesting to discuss the possibilities of starting a local chapter of Tyson's proposed Order of the Old Ones, and the benefits/drawbacks of such an order.
I'm by no means making any commitment to this particular path, and I'm certainly not one of those people who believes his Necronomicon is "real"! But as a work of art, I find it stunning; and as a practicing magician, and fan of H.P. Lovecraft, I'm intrigued by the possibilities of this new magickal system that Tyson has come up with! I particularly like the idea of working within a system that is not based on any earthly religion -- it definitely seems to have possibilities to me.
