Children of the Wildwood
Age Range/Type: Adult
Located in: Seattle, Washington
Key Contact: Elaina Givens
Spiritual Path: Ecclectic
Status: Established Group
Community Support: Open Circles... Teaching Available

Group Overview: Children of the Wildwood is an established coven looking to open its doors to new members. The coven itself has been in existence for about 8 years, however the former leader has passed the torch of leadership to one of her students and has stepped back from teaching. She still attends classes and rituals, but as an observer and as a counselor to the new leader, Elaina. We are looking to grow the coven, give it a fresh new start, and add some new blood. And no, we aren't looking to add that new blood through sacrificial means. ;-)
Children of the Wildwood is a coven dedicated to learning and growth. We will be exploring a wide variety of spiritual paths, including Celtic, Mayan, Native American, Voudou and Santeria, to name a few. New members, or initiates, will have a six-month probationary period, which is incorporated into the first year. During the first year, students will learn the basics of witchcraft and paganism and then move on to exploring these other paths. The coven uses a system of degrees based upon the Four Elements to symbolize their growth and progress along their spiritual path. Potential new members will meet with the coven leaders before dedication into the coven to make sure we are a good fit. There is plenty of time for everything, so we don't normally rush into anything.
It should be stressed that we are looking to build a group that will be as close as a family. This is not a casual hang out group or a dating group. Some classes will be in people's homes, some will be out in the wild, some will be online. Some classes will be held in Puyallup, Seattle, Mountlake Terrace or Kirkland, as our coven leadership live in different areas. We are looking to meet at least twice a month, maybe more. This coven will require active participation on the part of its members, but we also guarantee it will be fun and fulfilling.
Children of the Wildwood is welcoming of everyone, specifically sexual minorities. Several of the teachers for the coven are gay themselves. If anything that we have said has interested you and you are looking to learn more please send us a message. We are happy to answer any questions and look forward to welcoming our new members.
