Temple of the River
Age Range/Type: Adult
Located in: Minneapolis, Wisconsin
Key Contact: Drew Jacob
Spiritual Path: Celtic Polytheism
Status: Established Group
Community Support: Open Circles... Legal Clergy... Teaching Available

Group Overview: Temple of the River was founded to bring authentic, historically based teachings to Celtic polytheists in the context of a living spiritual community.
We opened our doors in 2004. In 2009 we build a traditional style Irish cottage building to house our new, larger temple space. In doing so we became one of the only Celtic polytheist temples with a traditional space in the world.
At its peak, Temple of the River served a community of over 100 people, with typical attendance of 40+ at offering ceremonies and a core group of a half dozen dedicated apprentices.
Unfortunately, Temple of the River closed its doors in June 2011. We are grateful that we had the opportunity to teach, serve and celebrate with so many amazing people.
The priest of Temple of the River, Drew Jacob, has launched a new spiritual quest of his own. He is walking and biking from the source of the Mississippi River in Minnesota all the way to the mouth of the Amazon River in Brazil. His goal is to meet the gods.
You can follow his journey at roguepriest.net.
Although the Temple is closed, we continue to get many inquiries. We intend to leave this page up so that people know we're no longer open.
During its short time, Temple of the River proved what a community that comes together can do. It was an honor to be part of something that touched so many lives, and we encourage all other polytheists to reach beyond the stars.
May you be yourself.
