Group Overview: Correllian Wicca is different from many other Traditions of Wicca in that we are a unified Tradition with a single leadership. Correllian Temples and Shrines are not separate from each other, but are part of an inter-dependent whole which stands together as a family. The entire world-wide Tradition has a single structure allowing us to act together as few other Traditions can.
The Correllian Nativist Tradition is based upon the teachings of members of the High-Correll family. The founder of the Tradition is the Blv. Orpheis Caroline High-Correll, a woman of mixed Scottish and Cherokee descent. Caroline is said to have founded the Tradition as an entity separate unto itself on September 4, 1479 Pisces (1879 AD) . In building the Correllian Tradition Caroline drew upon her Native American heritage, as well as ideas from European Witchcraft and Classical Paganism. The Correllian Nativist Tradition is the world’s largest Wiccan Church. As a cohesive legally recognized church, we have over One Thousand legal clergy members that function within their communities. We are in 85 Real Time locations with Study Groups, Shrines, and Temples. We work through Witchschool.com to provide an online ministry that reaches over 74 countries and provide educational, counseling and spiritual services for over one hundred and fifty thousand people.
The Correllian Nativist Tradition is a legally recognized Wiccan church and our clergy are federally recognized. Donations to the church are tax deductible and the Church has tax exempt status members of the Correllian Nativist Tradition, we have the same legal rights as any other Church or religion in the United States and in the World at large. The Correllian Nativist Tradition has taken great care and time to assure that we have all the protections, rights, and responsibilities of any faith has under our constitution. We also recognize The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, UN 1948 and seek to assure the religious rights and practices of our indigenous and Nativist faiths are protected.
