Merry Meet all Brisbanites... or those wishing to move to the land of Brisvegas!
We have a room for rent available in beautiful, leafy Chapel Hill, on the border of Fig Tree Pocket and Kenmore. With buses for the city (approx 20mins) , indooroopilly (approx 10mins) and ones to UQ St Lucia campus (approx 20mins) arriving regularly, public transport is easily accessible. If you have your own mode of transport, then not only will it be faster to get everywhere but you'll get the available carport all to yourself :)
Despite this, we live in a very quiet area, at the end of a dead-end street next to a large park which also includes a dog park and sporting fields. The house is surrounded by a large bushy yard, and we're separated from the park by a creek. There is also a small fenced area perfect for canines, and yes, this house is animal-friendly. We already have 2 cats, one indoor and one outdoor-indoor, so as long as all potential members are able to get along things will turn out great.
The house is furnished however the available room is not. It also has two large screened windows so it well-lit and ventilated, and includes a well-sized built in wardrobe. The house itself is made to remain cooler in summer, so is perfect for the warmer months. Bedrooms are carpeted but the remainder of the house is tiled. There is both a bath and a shower (not combined) , and the toilet is separate from the bathroom. The house is well-sized, broadband internet is available, and it's in a safe and secure area.
You will be sharing with two friends, myself (female, aged 22) and Zach (male, aged 20) , and we're hoping that the 3rd member of this enchanted cottage will become another friend. The room is perfect for students or young adults (preferably between the ages of 18 to 30years) , and the only requirement is that you're able to both speak and understand English. Males, females, students, workers, gays, bis, straights... you're all welcome. Openmindedness will be an advantage.
The weekly price is $140, this is all-inclusive however food will remain your own responsibility. General household chores are shared although I happily cook meals for the entire household. This is a shared house but not a share-house, so we're rather more lax and yes, you can invite friends over without requiring permission from others and the living areas are always open :p
We're pagans and do celebrate the sabbats, however this is not a prerequisite, although it will be advantageous if you're comfortable with it haha.
