Z Budapest is alive and kicking.
After 5 years, two hip replacements, 13 doctors (yes, 13 was the lucky number!) and an acupuncturist, Z is finally out of pain and back to work. 2007 promises to be a big year for Z. Two of her most popular titles will be re-released in print this Spring and Fall, with added sections, commentary, and new information. _Summoning the Fates_ will be published by Llewellyn, and _The Holy Book of Women's Mysteries_ wil be publiched by Conari/Red Wheel/Weiser. These beloved titles, dog-eared and worn on many a Dianic bookshelf, helped to shape the women's spirituality movement for the past 30 years. Both out of print since the '90s, they have been in high demand from used and rare booksellers. The return of these titles to the seller's shelves heralds a renewal in Women's Mysteries. "In times of war and strife, we must gather the women to heal the country and heal the planet, " said Z in a recent interview about her inclusion in the historical book _Feminists Who Changed America_ by Barbara Love.
Z isn't kidding. The feminist movement of the 1960s and 70s was a wave of revolutionary activity that brought crime against women in times of war to the forefront of public consciousness. Today, the atrocities in darfur, the Czech Republic, and East Timor are all reminiscent of the horrors that characterize each and every war.
Gathering the women is a full-time job. Between Z's public appearances at conferences such as Pantheacon, her online Dianic University, and her upcoming Mothers/Daughters Weekend at Isis Oasis, Z is also hatching plans for television shows, screenplays, and a comedic graphic novel about the trials and tribulations of aging in a culture where youth is worshipped.
"Well, the Goddess has been hard at work for over 25, 000 years, " Z quips, "Who am I to complain about one lifetime?"
