Cherry Hill Seminary is proud to announce the appointment of our new Public Information Officer, Barbara J. Graham (“Thistle”) . Barbara brings with her a wealth of talent and experience. She is coordinator of the Florida Alliance of Reclaiming Witches, a member of Friends of Gaia environmental Pagans, and a frequent speaker at Alachua Pagan Alliance. In addition, she coordinated the 2000 Alachua County Pagan Pride Day and presents workshops at Florida Pagan gatherings.
Barbara is also a photojournalist whose frontline coverage of environmental efforts and social justice issues has been published in Independent Media-Atlanta, Independent Media-NY, Reclaiming Quarterly, Awakened Woman, Groundwork News, the Gainesville Sun and Newberry Area News newspapers, and Gaima and Touchstone newsletters. She is also a fully accredited independent photojournalist with Summit of the Americas FTAA, Ft. Benning Military Base.
By day, Barbara edits Solar Touch, Hydrogen Initiative, the MAE News newsletters and other publications of the Solar Energy and Energy Conversion Laboratory, University of Florida, Gainesville.
Barbara says, “In my view, it is essential to maintain a strong and vibrant flow of information with the media to clarify misconceptions the public holds toward Paganism. . . . Misunderstandings lay at the root of so many biases and stereotyping – it is through an adept handling of information flow that these misunderstandings can be swept away.”
