Healing the Water after Katrina

Proclamation...
Water…it is the essence of life. It is healer, cleanser, carrier, and killer. I have been reflecting on this a lot over the past few days. Each time I see a picture of New Orleans all I see is the water. As of a few days ago they began pumping the water (which has been called toxic soup) out of the city and directly into the Mississippi River and Lake Pontchartrain. Of course, what choice do they have? They must drain the city, and to set up enough water purification plants to neutralize this “soup” would take months….And so the river and the lake and all that they touch will suffer immensely. What will become of the ecosystems that the lake and the river support? I have been thinking a lot about this over the past several days. The first thing that come to mind was the work of Dr. Masaru Emoto, Messages in Water. A lot of you are probably familiar with his work, if not, please check out the link at the end of this post for more information…There is something that we can do. I have begun adding prayers for the water to my nightly meditations. If everyone took just a few minutes to send clarity, love and light to these waters, perhaps it would make a bit of a difference, perhaps if enough people join in, it will make more than just a bit of difference….
