July 19, 2012 - Looking for a few New England Witches who are also Red Sox fans for interviews in a forthcoming book by Triumph Books.
My husband, Allie Tarantino, author of "I Love The Red Sox/ I Hate the Yankees" is writing a new book called "How the Red Sox Explain New England." The book will be published by Triumph Books in Spring 2013, and is essentially showing how in New England - the Red Sox aren't just a team to root for, it's a religion.
I'm hoping that you or someone you know might be able to lend a story for his upcoming book. Allie is looking for offbeat, totally original stories that he and his co-author, Jon Chattman (of The Huffington Post) can flesh out into one of just 12 essays in the book.
More specifically, he is dedicating one section of the book to the role of personal religion in it's relation to the Red Sox from the standpoint of a New England Witch. Since I am a practicing 3rd degree Witch, my husband has a keen, sensitive perspective and aims to be very respectful of your beliefs, religion, and the history of Witchcraft in New England.
In his book he may discuss the magic of baseball, the superstitions in relation to the game, whether or not people use magic and ritual to assist the Red Sox, etc.
