Pagan author Cynthia Joyce Clay placed as a semi-finalist in the Gimmecredit Screenplay Competition (http://www.lourdesenterprises.com/gimmecredit.htm) . Literary thousands of screenwriters enter important screenplay competitions like Gimmecredit. They compete for cash awards or film industry representation or, in the case of Gimmecredit, having their screenplays produced. As its top prize, Gimmecredit produces the winning script under a Screen Actors Guild contract with Screen Actors Guild actors and a professional crew and enters the produced film into several top film festivals. Clay is delighted to have won recognition as semi-finalist with her entry “Bed Frame Riffs.” She says, “’Bed Frame Riffs’ has morphed from a stage play (available as part of Music of Broken Waters: A Trilogy of One-Acts) , a short story (available as part of New Myths of the Feminine Divine) , and now as the Gimmecredit semifinalist teleplay.” What is “Bed Frame Riffs” about? “The short answer is that Pat’s love-life is ruined by aliens in a ceramic spaceship. The long answer is, well, go and read it! It’s a funny story about musicians, the environment, and epiphanies; you’ll love it.”
