Do You Know This Woman?

Proclaimed by: Wren
Proclaimed from: Tampa, Florida

Email From Crystal:

Doubtful she was killed or died because she was Pagan, but ... the trouble is, no one knows who she is.

Unidentified White Female

* The victim was discovered on November 7, 1998 in Stafford County, Virginia
* Estimated Date of Death: Over 8 Months prior
* Skeletal Remains

Vital Statistics

* Estimated age: 28-45 years old
* Approximate Height and Weight: 5'9"
* Distinguishing Characteristics: Medium light brown hair with braids.

* Clothing: Grey or white "Washington Redskins" T-shirt (Salem sportswear) . Black/white camouflage or tiger pattern shorts, with cuffs. Two pairs of dark hose, one of which has a diamond pattern and the other has no pattern but tag reads "L'eggs size B". There were fragments of blue jeans containing a ziper; tag reads "Made in America". Pair of size 8 1/2, canvas high heeled shoes with rubber soles and buckles; tan or creme in color. Label reads, "Classified". One yellow metal drop earring, shaped like a leaf. Ring with black onyx star (pentagram) . Plastic, tiny, pink bear trinket. Gold-tone ring with dark (Onyx) cluster stones. Dark brown, oval shaped sunglasses.

I [Crystal] volunteer for the Doe Network, a group who tries to give names back to the unidentified deceased and help families find missing loved ones.

While it's a long shot... perhaps someone remembers seeing a lady who was Pagan with similar clothing/hairstyle that they haven't seen in a long time? Perhaps someone who went to an event in Virginia at that time (they theorize she was killed in the fall of 1997, and if she was at an outdoor event the layered clothing would make a lot of sense... )

I'm sure this is one of the more odd requests you've gotten on this site, but I was wondering if you would consider it. The motto of the organization of forensic artists that make the reconstructions in these cases is "Everyone Deserves A Name" -- and she certainly does deserve her name.

And someone, somewhere, knows who she is. The trouble is getting her name and story out there where the person who knows her will see it.
