SIOUX CITY, IA -- Pagan podcaster and clergy Rev. Jeva Singh-Anand takes a stab at film making with his debut video "The Moon Hoax: Why We Never Went, What Really Happened to the Moon, And What's at Stake For the Rest of Us." Shot in documentary style, he spins a wild yarn, claiming the July 23, 1969 moon shot never occurred, because it was destroyed in a cataclysmic explosion sixty years earlier.
"The idea was to take as many conspiracy theories and mix them together into the most ridiculous piece of nonsense I could come up with, " he said. "The idea was to make the conspiracy movie that takes the cake."
Singh-Anand concocts a witch's brew including the Illuminati, the Tunguska meteor, the MK Ultra experiments, 3-D glasses, and other historic material that has provided food for a variety of conspiracy theorists.
Hosting the 13-minute program as Professor Benedict Zaroff, Singh-Anand interviews a number of fictitious characters who make outrageous claims about interstellar crafts with antimatter drives, Neil Armstrong's drug habits, Soviet gulags, and -- naturally -- the Illuminati.
The production took two months to complete. The cast includes members of Singh-Anand's circle of friends, but also former students and professors.
