Solstice Meditation for Universal Peace

Solstice Meditation Spell for Universal Peace
(The ladies of Ravensgrove Coven would like to invite you, and invite you to invite others to take part in the Meditation Spell for Universal Peace. It is a good work within the blending of all that walk down the magickal path in peace love and harmony.

To be done on the Full Moon of Yule
This spell will be even more powerful since it is being done on the Full Moon of Yule and during the Eclipse.
*This spell needs to be read in its entirety at least one day before you work it.
Items you will need;
1 White or Silver candle
Herbs for Yule; Peppermint, Frankincense, Mur, Clove, Cinnamon, and one fresh flower (rose is best)
Incense; Rose and cedar
Mortar and pestle
Bowl (medium size)
Water blessed over night but the light of the moon
Sea Salt
13 inches of each; Red, Green and White cord or string. (it needs to be a natural fiber)
Censer
This spell takes some time so you will want to make sure you are not going to be disturbed while working it.
On the night before; mix a pinch of sea salt in the water and bless it over night by placing it where the light of the moon will shine on it over night.
Winter Solstice is an excellent time to for us all to work together and draw our energy in a work for peace around the world. It allows us to call unto those energies of our totem animals, spirit guides, families and all this connected by the empowering energy of the Goddess.
This meditation will help you opening your awareness to the power within and without all things. To the energy and essence of others (those working the spell also) And a deeper relationship with the Goddess.
Begin by placing the candle in the bowl. It can be in a small holder but not one taller than the bowl.
Then carefully without getting water on the wick, pour the water into the bowl with the candle. There needs to be at least 3 inches of candle above the water line.
Tie the cords together and if possible anchor them so that you can braid them without having to fight the cords to much. (the cord is used to help in the concentration and meditation to keep you focused.)
Using the mortar and pestle grind the herbs together. (not the flower)
Sprinkle the herbs on the candle allowing the to fall into the bowl of water.
Position yourself to be comfortable (I generally sit on the floor)
Take a few moments to center yourself and breathe deeply. Once your energy is up using your power finger, dip it into the water and bless your third eye (forehead) with the water by drawing a pentagram.
Now you begin; light the candle and place the flower into the bowl.
Sit with your eyes closed. Let any remaining tension drain away, then begin listening to the sound of silence, to the candle burning. Smell the aromas of incense and smoke.
Allow your spirit to drift as you experience all that is around you. Sense the energy of everything around you and the magick within you.
Listen to your breath and feel your own heartbeat. Let your spirit become stronger as it begins to remove you from the mundane world and you step outside of who you are.
Once you have reached this state of consciousness open your eyes to see the candle burning. Without leaving your state of meditation begin braiding the cords together. As you are braiding repeat the chant continually until the braid is complete.
See within your mind all peoples from all over the world standing together in one enormous circle of light. See the circle constantly growing with more and more people as the energy also grows. See within the center of the circle the Goddess of power and love standing, hands outstretched, accepting all those who come in the true spirit of peace.
Chant;
Goddess Mother of peace and light,
Bring together the world this night.
Listen closely; and you can hear the whispering voices of thousands of souls who join you in this work of peace. Let your spirit draw on each voice, each spark of light, each sense of knowing, to strengthen the energy of love going forward and being returned.
Once the cords are complete braided together, CAREFULLY light one end of it with the candles flame and drop it into the censer to burn. This releases the energy from within.
Reposition yourself to be comfortable. Again take some cleaning breaths to again center and focus within this time. At this time you call upon the spirits that are now surrounding you within this meditation.
Aloud you may ask and seek information from within. Listen closely to a whatever message you believe is directed to you. If there are many working together in one area, you will have to determine who within the veils is specking directly to you.
Allow your enter spirit to hear; it could be names, dates, human or even animal spirits that will interact with you. Let this energy fill and charge your essences with power and knowledge. Remain in this place between worlds until you receive the message meant for you. Then return to normal levels of awareness and conciseness. It is a good idea to write everything you experienced, heard and witness down in a personal journal. Sometimes only a short time later you can lose the messages sent from your mind.
When the energy has been spent and your are fully aware. Raise your hand unto the Goddess and give blessings for all you have received within this work and Her blessings unto the world.
Goddess of the land and sea,
By thy love, So Shall it be.
Allow the candle to burn until the water extinguishes it. This may take some time so be sure it is burning in a fire safe area. Once the candle is out, take it, the water and the herbs and bury them in the earth. (if the ground is frozen, place them under a rock or aside a tree where they will not be disturbed by man. Again, give honor and thanks accordingly.
