Unique Housing Opportunity

Proclaimed by: Carolyn
Proclaimed from: Cambridge, Massachusetts

Wanted: House Mates to complete our Magickal Household. The In the Lap of the Goddess Productions household currently finds itself in the position to offer an opportunity for one person or a couple to join us in building our home community as well as our spiritual community. At present, we will have a very large bedroom with a smaller room (great as a study or meditation space) next to it and a full bath available on August 1st. What we would truly desire would be to share our home with others from our community, thereby strengthening and expanding our home base while offering a unique opportunity for someone (s) to support, on an intimate level, what is being created through In the Lap of the Goddess Productions. This would be a wonderful way to be more directly in touch with the growth and shaping of our services for the community as well as a way to further contribute and be more involved in the planning of our events. Below is the ad that we have posted on Craig's list. For obvious reasons, we have not said things like: "Imagine! You could have alters up all over your room, and no one will look at you oddly!" and you could avoid comments like "Hey, what's all the stinky sage smoke about?" :) For more information, or to schedule a viewing of the available space, please call us directly at 617-591-0209. Please feel free to tell your friends who may not be on this list - those who you think would be an appropriate fit for our magickal household! We need to fill the room as soon as possible, so please help spread the word; and again, we will be happy to show the room and answer any questions you may have. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you all very much! Warmly, Carolyn & Josh Our Craig's list ad: Large bedroom plus small study and a full bath on the second floor of a spacious, comfortable apartment occupying the 2nd and 3rd floors of a three-story house on a quiet street in Winter Hill. The large available room is 11' X 16' and the bathroom has a large utility/linen closet. The smaller room has a very deep closet with some built-in shelving at one end. Both rooms get lots of light & have ceiling fans. Perfect for a couple, the rent is $1100. The house has a big eat-in kitchen with lots of counter and storage space, gas stove, living room, library, high ceilings, ceiling fans, gas heat; dishwasher & disposal, hardwood floors in common areas, free washer/dryer in unit, wireless internet access, and cable TV. Lots of sunlight throughout! We have off-street parking, and there is no parking sticker required to park on the street. The apt. is well appointed and mostly furnished! We have a large backyard with plenty of room for gardening, and an enormous 2-tier deck with grape arbor. Great for bar-b-ques and social gatherings during the summer months! Storage in both attic and eaves. Minutes to I-93; Sullivan Station and Davis Square are both a 15 minute bus ride away. Porter and Davis Squares take 20-25 minutes to get to on foot. We have 1 mature and friendly cat, and sadly can not accommodate any more. We are 1 women and a man, one is a healing arts practitioner, the other is a professional. We are seeking either: one responsible, fun-loving person, or a couple who are interested in living in a communally-minded household. We share some meals, split household duties, and enjoy each other's company: the occasional dinner & movie night, going out, etc. We are open-minded, open-hearted, queer friendly, and socially aware. No drugs, no overly conservative or rigid attitudes please. A good sense of humor and creative thinking are a plus! We are looking for male or female housemate (s) who have good social & communication skills, are considerate of others, have an easy time paying the rent and bills on time, are flexible & relaxed and will do their share in taking care of the apartment. We also prefer housemates who recycle and don't waste energy. Smoking on the back deck only. When you e-mail us, tell us a bit about yourself and we'll take it from there. We look forward to meeting you!! Location: - Near where Somerville and Medford borders meet in the Winter Hill area. - Less than 5 min. walk to Bus stops on Main St. & Broadway (Bus runs frequently) - 20-25 minute walk to Davis Square & Porter Sq. T-Stops. 10 min. to Ball Sq. (cafes, shops, restaurants) - Close to Rt. 16 and I-93 - Easy drive to Cambridge or Boston
