A hole in my heart... missing cat...

Proclamation...
There is a hole in my heart where my soul used to be.
On the night of Friday, September 14, 2007, our beloved cat, Ash, was last seen heading out the door, hopefully heading for an adventure in the wilds of Heath, MA.
He is 2 1/2 today (Sept. 17, 2007) . A sleek, medium-sized, mostly black male (neutered) short-hair cat, with two tiny tufts of white on his upper chest and lower belly.
I have been trying to stay calm, but I've had a cold since the day he left, which hasn't been helping with the crying. I know that pets sometimes disappear and that it is a part of nature, but he was- is- my baby. (My husband gave him to me for my 30th birthday.)
It is too quiet here without him.
(I suppose this is as much a healing request as it is a lost & found.)
