The WES Goddess Temple at Moonwood
What is a Temple?
Since I first spoke to the WES community about building a Goddess Temple, the word has had many meanings to many different people.
It was in Glastonbury – the Sacred Isle of Avalon, that I first experienced a “Goddess Temple”. That is when I knew, that WES deserved that kind of sacred space, as did all seekers. After visioning with a Goddess Temple Committee for several months, a “Temple” has come to us, quite unlike the one/s we first thought of. But isn’t that the Goddess’s way?
WES is happy to announce that we will be occupying the former “New Moon” in Princeton, MA – now known as Moonwood. Sabazius and Hilary Athame have come forward to support our vision of having a dedicated sacred space by offering WES their former store space.
We feel this is our temporary home for the WES Goddess Temple for at least one year. Giving people a tangible place, a sanctuary, a safe haven and retreat, so that they can experience that a “Temple” can be anywhere!
Our first event in the WES Goddess Temple at Moonwood will be on Imbolc, February 1, 2004. We will honor the great Goddess Brighid and bless our Temple and Moonwood with Her love and protection.

WES will continue raising funds to support our temporary Temple as well as our future Temple, so please continue to support this important project, and help show others that the Goddess is Alive and Magick is afoot!
