Armored Hearts Chainmaille Artist is seeking a local (Howard City- Newaygo - Lakeview - Big Rapids) apprentice to learn chainmaille weaves, assist in sorting and producing items for local flea Market and Pagan friendly stores.
Candidates must have a passion for art, people and learning. No Art background needed, but good dexterity and eye for detail is a must. STRONG digital photography knowledge and/or equipment is a PLUS! Reliable transportation to and from events is needed but can be negotiable. Must be 21 or older and be able to work independently when necessary.
Apprentices are NOT paid hourly, they will receive a percentage of profits from store sales and Art Show/Flea market revenue through out the Spring/Summer season.
This apprenticeship will begin mid May of 09 and continue through out the summer. I would like to have someone in this position before mid June.
As the business grows, so will your knowledge of weaves, projects and other aspects of making chainmaille jewelry and wearable art. Compensation for design ideas and promotion of the business will be rewarded on a case by case basis. Your only limit is your desire to succeed and help Armored Hearts thrive in the West Michigan community and Global web presence.
