1 – Art & Soul column, an existing column need a new writer for. It is preferable this author have some art education and training. It is preferable artists be pagan or alternative in spirituality. Author must contact artist, ask for: a signed contract, 6-8 high resolution images of work, and answers to interview questions via email, then produce 700 word article based on such.
2 – In the Mirror column, a column which needs developing focusing on subcultures of paganism and why two cultures integrate or do not integrate well together. Some such articles may reflect on: pagans & Goths, paganism & GLBT community, paganism in the military, paganism & polyamory, paganism in organized religion, etc. Looking for these articles to be about 700 words.
3 – Music journalists write news stories about singers, musicians and the music industry. Focus on bands and singers that influence the pagan community. Not limited to “new age” or tribal styles but any musical themes that help bring us together in common identity. Bring to Pagan Edge the artistic and creative considerations for whom ever is in the spotlight. 500-700 words. New Column title to be developed. We will consider more than one person to write on this topic.
4 - Food, kitchen, & nutrition writer. This column may be focused on recipes, health trends, or improving techniques. Must be able to associate food to various modern pagan, heathen traditions as well as the every day sacredness of preparation and eating. Not more than 1000 words.
5 - Behind Life’s Curtain – We are looking for a feature writer that would like to tackle the world of the hidden or the occult, esoteric, arcane. These need to be well researched articles related to discovering, dealing with and living within our world where everything can not be taken at face value. To put it another way; simply the study of a deeper spiritual reality that extends beyond pure reason and the physical sciences. This would require a minimum of four articles per year at 1000 – 1200 words.
