Ozark Avalon Kitchen Project

Ozark Avalon is happy to announce that it has matching funds of up to $3, 000 for repair and remodeling of the kitchen, laundry room and bathroom in our 150 year old farmhouse/retreat center. The plumbing failed following 15 years of hard use. Ozark Avalon is a 200 member Wiccan church, with 170 acre land sanctuary and campground. Our kitchen is used to prepare group meals at our festivals and open events. That we have very good well water helped the pipes last as long as they did but when they went our well water damaged the floors in all three rooms. We would like to replace the plumbing, flooring, repair walls, and install a commercial grade sink and dishwasher. We would like to install mouse proof storage for all food and dishes. We plan to take down the kitchen at by the end of Interdependence/MidSummer July 2-6 and do the plumbing, floors and other repairs in the days immediately following the festival. We expect this to be a large festival with vendors and music and much of the work exchange will be packing up the kitchen, laundry room and bathroom. Frog bog and the pool will be open and simple meals will be provided picnic style. Any persons wishing to help with the project can get free admission to the festival and skilled plumbers, carpenters and electricians can get admission for their entire families.
