Blanket Brigade

The Blanket Brigade was started by my sister who lives in North Carolina. In the days after Katrina all she could think about was how was she going to help the people of her home town. She started by begging for much needed items. She left NC in Oct. to come to the coast. She brought a trailer full of supplies. After returning home, she worried about all those in tents and their need to stay warm for the winter. It was at that time the term Blanket Brigade for formed. To date we have given out over 1500 blankets, kitchens supplies, cleaning supplies and many other much needed items to the coast. The Blanket Brigade continues still today through the generious donations of others in the world. We are NOT a non profit just a group of folks trying to help.
