Creating a Pagan Crisis Fund

I personally do not currently have the specific knowledge to make this idea effective by myself, but am putting the idea out there to see if see if someone who has the knowledge will take up this challenge. In the recent days, many have become aware of the financial distress of numerous pagan leaders in the community. This awareness has prompted many to ask the question "Why don't we have a non-profit organization that can raise money to assist these people?" or "How can we create a Pagan Crisis Fund either within current groups or seperate so that we can support people in need within our own community?" These questions are good ones, and it will take the entire community to answer them.
I'm a firm believer that things that start small can become bigger and change the world. Even if local groups begin raising money for crisis funds for pagans within their own community, it would be a big step forward. We need to support our fellow pagans in whatever way we can. We've all made bad financial decisions, and all had a time in our lives where we needed a hand. I'd like to see the Pagan community rise to the challenge of supporting its own people. I'm not saying that you must donate money to support fellow pagans in need... sometimes all it takes is watching someone's kids for a few hours, or helping them find a job. I would just like to see us begin to pool our efforts, and try, even with small steps to keep our community strong emotionally and fianancially.
