Pagan Cooperative Garden

Proclaimed by: Silverwolf Sanctuary
Proclaimed from: Laconia, New Hampshire

Proclamation...

Who among you have always wanted to grow your own fresh vegetables but have never been able to? Maybe you don't have the space, or the green thumb, or the time that a big garden demands.

This year Silverwolf Sanctuary is offering you the chance to get in on a Pagan Cooperative Garden.

The buy-in is $20 and 20 hours of work. That's it. Any skill level is welcome - we'll teach you if you know nothing about gardening and are always willing to learn from someone who's got a great green thumb!

People will be notified in advance when work days are via e-mail. Essentially, days that we are planning on working in the garden, anyone can join us for as long as their schedule allows to fulfill their 20 hours. (Both week days and weekends so that we can try and accomodate people's schedules.) Thinking about it - 20 hours is a tiny amount of garden time, for such a great reward.

We use 100% organic, no GMO seeds, and organic and natural gardening. NO PERSTICIDES. Nothing wacky in your veggies. We will do a few blessings on the garden and probably a "thank you" ceremony in the fall. All gardening will be done with love, from people truly connected to the Earth.

The garden space is at the family farm in Belmont and has almost no size restriction. We'll be growing a wide range of vegetables and herbs, far too many to get into here, but people who sign up early can influence what gets planted.

As things get ripe, we'll have baskets on a weekly basis for the participants to pick up, filled with whatever is ripe that week. (Please don't sign up if you can't make weekly pickups, at your convienance, through late July, August & September. No point letting the veggies go to waste!) We will also have a couple of canning parties so that everyone has some of the fruits of our labors through the winter!

Please contact us ASAP if you are interested. The last day to join on will be 5/25. Once we have started planting, that's it. (So we make sure that enough planting gets done!)

You can call 603.524.5410 or 603.738.5782 or e-mail us at gacrwfrd@metrocast.net if you have any questions or want to sign up.

This is a great opportunity to get healthier, connect to Earth and build Community if the Lakes Region! Looking forward to getting our hands dirty with you!
