The Terracycle company allows organizations to recycle items that are not normally recycleable and donate to charities at the same time! This is a free service offered to organizations and schools.
You collect chip bags, candy and cookie wrappers, corks, Kashi product containers, and many more waste items that would normally go in the trash and send to Terracycle in the provided shipping containers at no cost to you or your organization! Terracycle will create recycled products out of them like gardening and office supplies and tote bags. In exchange, they will donate up to $0.02 per item to a charitable organization of your choice.
Visit www.terracycle.net to register your organization or school and choose any 501 (c) 3 organization to donate to!
This program is currently active in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the UK, and Brazil.
