Midnight Muse 2007 Poetry Contest

Announcing the Midnight Muse 2007 Poetry Contest!
~celebrating beauty : honoring the muse~
Our 2007 poetry contest is now underway. First prize is a $300 gift certificate to Midnight Muse, second prize is $100 gift certificate, third prize is $50 gift certificate. Honorable mention prizes may be awarded depending on the total number of entries.
Poem topics must be related to one (or more) of the Midnight Muse themes (http://midnight-muse.com/themes.htm) :
~ goddesses and muses ~ gods and green men ~ faeries ~
~ nymphs & nature spirits ~ mermaids and sirens ~ angels ~
~ animals (real or mythic) ~ witchcraft and magic ~ Celtic culture ~
~ trees / plants / flowers ~ the seasons ~ night / moon / stars ~
~ sacred sites ~ the ancient world ~ mythology and legend ~
The entry fee is $1 per poem, and the money goes towards the prizes. There is no limit to the number of poems you can submit.
(Please note: if you don't wish to participate in the contest, but would like to contribute a donation towards the winners' gift certificates, please contact us. The more entries and donations we receive, the more prizes we can offer to the poets.)
Poems are being accepted as of July 9th -- send your entries in now!
Final deadline for submissions is December 22, 2007 ~ the Winter Solstice.
Winners will be announced December 31, 2007 ~ New Year's Eve.
