I have been making ritual tools, jewelry and other art with animal parts since the mid-1990s. One of my most popular creations are hand-carved deer antler rune and ogam sets! Not only do I generally have some sets available for immediate purchase, but I've been doing custom work for quite a while.
I would like to announce the debut of http://www.antlerrunes.com , an auxiliary site to my main site, http://www.thegreenwolf.com . AntlerRunes.com was specifically created to showcase not only premade sets available for purchase, but to help make choosing a custom design so much easier! I offer a number of options:
--Several types of antler, including not only the most common and popular whitetail deer, but also red stag, caribou, and more!
--A wide variety of leather and fur, often from old coats and other secondhand sources, for the pouch
--Elder futhark runes, the ogam with or without the forfeda, or any other simply carved design set you work with
--Other decorations or special requests--let's see what we can come up with!
I've worked hard to source antlers and hides that you won't find just anywhere. And, as with all my art made with animal parts, all rune and ogam sets are ritually purified as part of my shamanic practice, and I donate a portion of the proceeds to nonprofits such as the Defenders of Wildlife and Wolf Haven International. I also use secondhand materials whenever I can, both with these sets and with all my art.
