Greetings, the Grove has grown by leaps and bounds and we now have 9 kids in the group with many more possibly coming. Our Saturday schedule is changing slightly, We will be at Starbucks from 1-3 for our Grove business or planning meeting and then the Forest Moon Tribe will meet from 3 starting at Starbucks and leading to our HQ and going until 7PM lessons will be taught throughout the afternoon into early evening. All will be made up as do to age differences right now each child will to an extent be learning at their level case by case basis.
We are planning fundraisers for patches, lessons, and Pagan Pride 2010. We have a lot of good responses for our venue for Sept 18-19, 2010 and is already this early in the planning is looking good. We have approx 15+ vendors booking there calenders and several speakers signing in for presentations and classes along with some authors for book signing tables etc. Will also have a stage being used for concerts ongoing and a community hall for further booths and a kitchen for a group that wishes to vend food. There are cabins we will have access to for camping and a nearby state park for further camping. I have a year to plan this and raise funds to attain all this and there's always room for booths and speakers as an itinerary comes together. As things add and approve I will post details, and put out information at our planning meetings.
Again, on our Forest Moon Tribe, it is geared for ages 4-18 year, the classes are based in and around the elements we are starting on fire right now. Each element will be a 6 month focus with all aspects involving that element with them earning a badge once they master it. There are many sub-classes they will earn badges for ie.Chakra knowledge, Herb satchels, Divination Tools and use etc etc.This will be on-going and developing. The Tribe will also be making cards for Samhain and Yule for our deployed Troops and packing the boxes going out to the Troops on our list that we know and support. Any Pagan Troop or group is welcome to get their name on the list for Pagan and holiday supplies.
Our newspaper staff has grown by leaps and bounds with 12 on our current Staff and guest articles are welcome all the time check out the new website for the Grove and Tribe both at www.forestmoongrove.org our current schedule of events is as follows:
