Greetings everyone, just some updates on Forest Moon that is going on along with a schedule and I'm including our goals and mission as is written in our bylaws. For some of you that don't know our history I started Forest Moon in 2005 as a network for my combat group, Desert Moon which I ran 2 different tours in Iraq with roughly 40-50 Soldiers and AF both in Balad 04-05 and Tal Afar 05-06. Forest Moon has run since 2005 and has been mostly online and is international. I have since been medically retired from the Army Dec of 2009 so we are focusing now mostly on Pagan Community in the North West side of WA State in Skagit County and surrounding areas.
OK we aren't having a potluck for July but we will have a Pagan Coffee July 17 1200-200 at the Whidbey Coffee shop in the Burlington Mall. This is an important meeting and I need everyone that can make it to attend as we get our Tribe going and focused, also the first family Tribe camping trip is on the schedule for 27-30 August at Grandy Lake Campground, bring your tents and gear and we'll have some fun. We only need 1 signature for our board to be formed and then we'll file for our church status. I'm also working in our DFGL format for Soldiers needing status to lead groups in combat, there will be no fees attached but they will be required to take a Pagan knowledge test and some courses on death and dying, dealing with public relations, and a brief overview of all Pagan Traditions specifically, Druids, Wicca, Asatru, Shamanism, and any input for other groups would be encouraged. We have 1 Soldier in Korea and 1 in Afghanistan we are currently supporting, we will be having donation drives soon and if you are having a Pagan Pride event in your area and wish to collect supplies for Pagan Troops by all means its needed. We are shooting for Oct 1-2 2011 Pagan Pride in Mount Vernon, WA at the Skagit Valley Fairgrounds, it will be a 2-day event and we will be working on vendors, speakers, and a couple concerts throughout both days, also planning on a local belly-dancing Troupe to perform. If you wish to vend or have a class you wish to teach please let me know so we can schedule you in, we have a year to prepare for this but it's also easier on the calendars to get people in early.
Some cool local news Gypsy Soul our local Paganish supportive store is open in Laconner now, she is at 1st Street in the Pier 7 building in Laconner. We also found a Norse bakery/diner called the Norse Pantry, will be looking at them also as vendors for Pagan Pride, they are very friendly and located in Laconner as well just a little North of Gypsy Soul's location.
We had our main ultra sound and we have a baby girl named Cheyanne due in November 24???? so also looking forward to that for sure so we're keeping November quiet but planning Yule party 18 Dec location will follow. Our nursery theme is dragons so any of my artistic friends who wish to draw some dragon baby friendly art for her nursery would love to have it and will be cherished.
Now more on Forest Moon Tribe, we will be looking at grants etc to get them off the ground for supplies etc, I'm also looking at firework stand for next July as a fundraiser. The coffee meeting on the 17th will be to see how many kids are starting in the group, the syllabus is made and we'll be starting on that, if you don't have a syllabus let me know and I'll email you a copy.
We do have a network site at www.forestmoon.spruz.com it has chat-room capability and we'll announce events on the site as well. Our current calendar is as follows:

We do have a paypal for donations anyone wishes to send for expenditures but as a church nothing in way of dues or membership fees will ever be asked. Our paypal is firstname.lastname@example.org . I hope this finds everyone well and enjoying this season, our garden is thriving along with the orchard. Our chickens will start laying in August and eggs and vegetables will be available for our Pagan community to enjoy soon.
