Good Evening, we just got back from Bellingham Pagan Pride and I thought it was a good event over all, small but a good event nonetheless. We got some vending packets handed out and looks like a good vending turn-out will happen at Pagan Harvest in 2011. I have 3 large buildings for vending and more then enough space for over 100 vendors so please get me your application in as soon as you can, like i said the fees we can't take until January 2011 which gives me time to get our banking set-up etc. The packet has space for if you vend, speak, sing, or wish to cater if your doing more then one thing then fill all appropriate spaces out. I also got asked about lodging and many expressed interest in the camping, there is a camp-ground right there on site so you won't have to drive to get to your tent or trailer. For those that don't do camping, I will have local motels/hotels and many of our Forest Moon members do have extra space they have offered. My list of speakers is growing and will be an awesome Elders table which will be a good q and a time. I need singers, I currently have Celia locked in but looking for more concerts. Also looking for artists, I do have a couple locked in but the more the merrier. This will be the 1st annual Pagan Harvest and will be the first of many as I plan for this to be our big annual celebration.
Sunday Sept 18, 2011 will be the Seattle Pagan Pride and we will also vend that event next year as well. We are looking at grants and fundraisers. Ashley will be getting with our local members soon about setting up our first bake sale in December so if you bake please let us know and we'll plan a baking party prior to the sale. I will also be planning a fund raising Spring festival so will need vendors for that as well, will be sometime in May, more to follow on that. We had a huge response on the Forest Moon Tribe tonight so in this email I'am attaching the syllabus, parent consent form, and the diagnostic test. We may have a Tribe forming in Canada soon and for those out of State with kids, we will start looking at starting Tribes if you wish to use our formatting then at the Pagan Harvest will be our Forest Moon Tribe annual celebration as well. We may see about having a Pagan Parade through Mount Vernon to the fairgrounds on the day the Harvest starts and let the kids plan the event with supervision. With other Tribes I can see us doing teleconferences between groups twice a month. The Tribe here in Skagit County is going to start meeting twice a month starting October 16th will be Forest Moon Tribe Orientation I need an RSVP so I know how many are planning on attending for space, all our meetings will be at the Mount Vernon Food co-op downtown Mount Vernon. Starting November the meetings will be twice a month. Those wanting to start Tribes in their areas we will have a meeting for the leaders online so everyone gets on the same page.
Forest Moon Church is picking up speed as we start planning and only getting bigger. We will be getting a storage unit to house our homeless closet so if you have any old winter clothes, blankets, kitchen utensils and appliances, pots and pans etc and small furniture we would greatly appreciate it. We will pick it up if your local to Skagit County. Also any Pagan supplies would be appreciated for our Troop Support drive, Yule is fast approaching and we will be boxing up packages going to Afghanistan, Korea, and one group in Germany Oct 30 when we go to the Mystic Wonder Samhain Potluck.
Samhain ritual is still at Chris and Ria's in Daycreek more to follow on that as we get information we will put it up on the Forest Moon Spruz site, if you haven't joined the site it's at www.forestmoon.spruz.com Our next coffee is OCT 9 (next Saturday) from 12-2 at the food co-op in downtown Mount Vernon, immediately following that at 3PM will be a baby shower for Ashley, if your interested in going let us know and we'll get you there. That pretty much sums up latest news enjoy your doughnuts and cider and stay warm. Blessings.
