Forest Moon Yule Update

Happy Holiday Season, I do hope everyone is having a wonderful time and not too stressful as this is the most stressful time of year. When your stressed just sit and relax with a nice cup of tea in front of the fire and clear your mind of troubles and always remind yourself times could be worse but today is going to be calm. Works for me anyway and then I take my meds lol. Anyway, baby Cheyanne is doing great, already rolling over on her side and scooching herself where she wants to be without help. Not bad for an 11 day old. For those that don't know she was born Nov 20 at 1230PM and weighed 8lbs, 3 oz and was 19 ˝ inches. She is a joy in our life and will be an awesome daughter to raise in our footsteps. We have many pictures up on both our facebook accounts if you haven't seen her yet and some of you will get to see her at the Forest Moon Yule party on the 18th here at the house. Now for some updates.
Dec 11 is our Holiday Faire at the Cascade Mall in Burlington, WA. We will meet between 7-8 AM to do a walk-through as the mall opens at 9 for the holidays and closes at 10 PM so these are changes since the last info I put out we can start selling at 9AM and wrap it up at 9PM much longer selling time. If you have your own tables bring them however I do have 12 tables available and there is still room for vendors if anyone wants to come and vend. I have no vending fee but as a fund raiser I ask for 20% of profit. There will also be a donation jar geared toward postage for the Troop packages as we will also be collecting anything available going out to our Military members in deployed areas. Let me know also if you plan on baking anything for the Forest Moon bakesale so we can plan accordingly.
Dec 18 is our Yule Party it will be a potluck so bring your favorite dish we will start at 4PM and it'll just be a casual holiday party with holiday cartoon favorites, food and festivities. Bring your knowledge also for holiday trivia.
We are still collecting clothes, blankets, coats, pots and pans and kitchen items for our homeless closet. January 29 is homeless Veterans stand-down day here in Skagit Valley and we will have a booth here at the Mount Vernon site offering clothes, non-perishable food, legal advice from Kim our paralegal and Starbucks is donating coffee to offer during the day for all who come. Anyone wishing to help with that as well send me an email.
I was asked to make a recommended reading list for new Pagans and so I did and it's up at the Forest Moon yahoo site at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/forestmoongrove/ if your not a member there yet many updates are added there that I don't get sent out to the email list. Also, look through the files section and theres many helpful forms in there as well as the kids group stuff etc. The Tribe will start for the kids sometime in January I'll put out more on that later as we look at our schedule. There's several updates on our website www.forestmoon.spruz.com Our extensive history of Forest and Desert Moon's has been put up as well as our mission and goals. Go have a look if you haven't. Ashley's been working on the site but due to her computer crashing she was slowed down a bit, she's been back up now and plans on including a deployed Troop page with their wishlists, and a sponsorship page, We do have 2 stores sponsoring us now and will have their information up soon.
That about wraps up information for now, we are always looking for ideas on funding and ways to help our Pagan community. All ideas can be emailed to me to present to our board, we do plan on applying to the Combined Federal Campaign for funding and will put out our CFC numbers when approved.
