Greetings, We are now obviously in the beginnings of a nasty-looking autumn and the heater has actually been turned on. We have our whole yard decorated as a creepy graveyard filled with zombies and are planning a large party for Oct 29th complete with best costume contest, a history lesson, tarot readings and food. If you’re in Mount Vernon give me a call at 360-420-7438. This is also a reminder October 8 is our next coffee at Cascade Mall 1200 at Whidbey Coffee we’ll be discussing up-coming events and the idea for a Yule Ball for December of 2012. There is a Witches Ball in Tacoma but we haven’t seen anything for a Yule Ball so we’ll start hosting one next year here in Mount Vernon. We’ll be attending the TERRA Witch’s Ball this year Oct 22 for more details check it out at www.terratacoma.org We will be having a Bake Sale fund-raiser October 14 with all Halloween candy, cupcakes and breads on Stanford Drive in Mount Vernon, all proceeds go to our homeless closet, Troop Support and expenses for our events coming up. Forest Moon now has an affiliate group for Pagans In Recovery from addiction. Forest Moon Tribe meeting is Oct 15 at Melissa’s house at 1200. Discussion for the kids will be Halloween/Samhain, the history and ritual lay-out ideas. We will be looking at hosting an open Samhain Ritual at Hillcrest Park 7PM just look for us in a corner of the grassy area October 30th it will be very kid friendly as the Tribe kids will be setting it all up.
I’m very sorry for those of you who didn’t get the word that Pagan Harvest had been cancelled and came to Mount Vernon, it was posted and I don’t know how it slipped through the cracks but it is planned for next year so we will always be looking for vendors for next year but we are limited on space so get your name in now, earlier the better so we know how many to lock in.

Pagan Paranormal Group
As Pagan’s we have a closer connection with spirits and other entities so this group is a different approach then your typical group. We meet every Sunday night at 7PM also at Melissa’s house. Areas we will cover include:
Entity Identification and removal (if necessary)
House cleansings and Blessings
Possessions
Poltergheist Activity
EVP (Electrical Voice Phenomena)
UFO Sighting and Alien Abduction
Cryptozoology
Minor Conspiracy with relation to Paranormal events
Unexplained Phenomena classified as other or unknown.
We will also take new members.
Open Rituals
Interest has been shown in public rituals for the Sabbats and we are available to conduct celebrations although we generally celebrate in our home. Everyone on our board is Ordained as well and available for Handfastings, Handpartings, Passings-Over, Wiccanings and any other rituals needed. We offer ordainment through Forest Moon for all interested as we offer classes and don’t pass it out without knowledge.
Future Events and Plans
We do have plans of being in the Mount Vernon, WA Christmas Parade so anyone who wishes to be involved with decoration ideas or walking with us let us know. It will go through downtown Mount Vernon November 27th more to follow as I get details closer to November.
next couple years. Lastly, Forest Moon will be starting up a Sanctuary here in the Skagit Valley which will, in essence, be a Pagan Eco-village for Pagans to live on. It will as many acres as we can acquire, will be off the grid as in have its own power source be it solar, wind, or hydro. We will have a community building named Valhalla with a grand room, kitchen and several class rooms for large events we may have. Originally the plan was also to have a lake or pond in the West, a fire pit in the South, an open-air stage for concerts in the East, and Valhalla would be on the North side. These are all ideas we have that one day will come to happen.
In closing I will post our HQ postal address as well as our new pay-pal address as some have been inquiring about monetary donations. Our goal for the next year is to have our own Forest Moon building and Pagan Harvest will go on the first weekend of October 2012. The plan for 5 years will be our Sanctuary.
