Greetings for all new. Forest Moon has many programs we offer and we'll go over them now as new plans for the coming year.
First and foremost we have our Troop support program which is currently dormant as we await Troops in need of support, it has been a quiet year as we only had one group in Kabul, Afghanistan. I remember one year we had 16 different groups spread throughout Iraq, Afghanistan, and Korea that was a busy year. I believe the political tempo is what keeps many of our Troops to themselves anymore which is an area we need to work on. I have some contacts in the Chaplaincy Corps and will be focusing on that in this coming year so we can get our Pagan Troops taken care of once again. We are a WA State recognized religious non-profit and with that have the ability to endorse Troops as Pagan Lay-leaders which is a requirement to have a Pagan group. Once we establish a leader for a group they start advertising their group in whatever base they are on with the permission of the Chaplain that sponsors them on that particular base. Once we start getting Troops in that group we get a list of Pagan Traditions within that group so we know what special needs may need to be met ie..Norse may want a drinking horn, Wiccan a chalice etc. then we ask for a wishlist from each Soldier and I have a network of stores, Covens and individuals that are always on stand-by to fill that request and either send the supplies out to us to get to the Troops or they mail it directly to the Troops whichever works for them. Due to OPSEC (Operational Security) the Troops addresses will never be publicized for their own safety. We also deal with discrimination issues. I maintain all Military regulations pertaining to Chaplaincy Corps, Equal Opportunity amongst select other regulations and do maintain a network of legal organizations for example the MRFF (Military Religious Freedom Foundation) to help handle the more extreme cases but in many situations it's simply a matter of educating a Chaplain or Commander in the Soldier's beliefs. I was in the Army 19 1/2 years and led 3 different groups in the Army, one in Germany, the other 2 in Iraq so have been boots on ground and know the ins and outs of leading a group and the problems faced. I'am also a disabled Veteran and have PTSD so I'am here for our disabled Vets as well and any questions with VA or SSD I may be able to help with as well. We have a serious problem with homeless Vets as well which is a primary reason for Hestia's Closet which is our homeless closet. We take donations of clothes, blankets, shoes, coats and winter items as well as small kitchen appliances to assist those first starting out. This program is mostly for those in Northern WA State as we are a listed resource for Skagit County Community Action. If you wish to start this program in your area we are here to assist.
Forest Moon Paranormal meets once a month for a coffee discussion, otherwise we are a crisis intervention team and are mostly here for the extreme cases. We don't go investigating haunted locations like many groups do, we are here for clients who are having issues and we focus on clients involving children. We cover the normal haunting situations involving spirits, ghosts and other unknown entities, ufo's and alien abduction, cryptozoology, and earth mysteries or other aspects of the unknown. We also do location cleansings and blessings. Location is no factor as we have an astral team I call in if it is not a local case. If I have a local case I take it at a 3-fold task. I take in my physical team which consists of sensitives and a demonologist who is part of our team from Seattle, then I have our astral team which comes in at the same time, and a Reiki team on stand-by for any healings that need to be done on the team as well as location cleansings. Coffee discussions are more for educating those who want to know more about the paranormal. I also do have contacts of other teams throughout the U.S. for anyone who wants a local team to come to their location. Age requirement to be on the team is 18 and that is also based on general magickal knowledge.
Forest Moon Tribe is our educating group. It is set up for kids ages 5-18 but is also open to adults new to Paganism who wish to learn more. It covers all Traditions from Wicca, Druid, Shaman, and Norse and any others. They learn basic magick and ritual, world religions, and survival skills for the mountains. It is like boy and girls scouts for Pagans. We run off a syllabus we made and that can be requested any time and we can email a copy.
Pagan Harvest is our major annual festival which 2014 is our first annual and will be out here on our farm in Concrete, WA September 5-6 of 2014. We have a 1-acre pasture we will fill with vendors and we have vendors coming from Sacramento, possibly Texas, Nevada, and have room for many more if interested request a vendor application and fill it out and get it back to me. Fees will not be taken until February at the earliest. We have work-shops from Oberon Zell, Phaedra Bonewits, Kisma Stepanich and possibly a couple others. We will have musical performances from Green Fay and are looking for other performers as well. On day 2 there will be a discussion panel of Elders from various Pagan Traditions to discuss what changes they have seen within their traditions in the last 50 years and what they see happening in the next 50. There will also be various rituals conducted and possibly a powow from our Upper River Tribe. Look for more information to follow on that as the time draws closer as we will start planning meetings for it in February.
Forest Moon has been around since 2005 and has seen many ups and downs as well as many changes. We are permanently located on our farm in Concrete, WA which is where all Forest Moon activities and programs are conducted, take a look at the events tab in the group here and hope to see many of you come out. Dec 21 for example is our Forest Moon Yule celebration from 2-? it is a pot-luck so bring out your favorite Yule dish, then we will have our Forest Moon New Years Party which will be from 2PM until midnight with fireworks. It will be a pot-luck as well and there will be snack trays. We will discuss events from the last year and things we will plan for the coming year plus will offer Wheel of the Year Tarot readings. Pay attention to the Forest Moon group as all events and plans will be posted and we always have coffee on if your in the area. Any donations anyone wishes to make can be sent to our Forest Moon paypal at firstname.lastname@example.org and I can be reached on here anytime or directly by email at email@example.com Hope you all have a wonderful and safe Holiday Season and hope to see many of you at our events. Blessings. The Coopers
