Subject: Letters from Home

Distribute Widely

I'm going to ask all of you a favor. I have founded a group and will soon have a website named Cry Freedom. The purpose is to raise awareness of the War in Iraq...the facts...not the spin you see on the news. Not only am I organizing my groups to join in the March on Washington in September but I am also organizing other support projects for our troops. I also have a loved one there now. My proposal is such:

I was listening to the Radio today and a song by John Michael Montgomery entitled "Letters from Home" reminded me how important those letters from home are to the troops over there. Some don't get any mail...some get very little. I was one that got no mail when I was stationed overseas...and watching others get mail everyday was like a dagger to my heart every day. Right now troop moral is at a big low. Unhappy soldiers do stupid things.

What I am proposing is that we write letters to "Any Soldier" talking about hometown stuff, how we support them, anything upbeat and cheerful and invite them to feel free to write that type of thing and you can mail them to me and I will forward them all to my fiance in Iraq and he will know how best to distribute them.

Even just a funny card...something. It only takes 37 cents or less to mail and a few moments of your time. Keep in mind we have a lot of our Pagan Brother and Sisters over there. Also keep in mind that a happy Soldier is less likely to make stupid mistakes. Help give them hope for the future and let them know we support them 100%. Give them a reason to stay safe. Let them know we care.

Will you join me in this campaign? If interested in the March in September of this year, feel free to join CryFreedom@yahoogroups.com

All such postcards, letters etc can be mailed to me at

If you have a question about what will make it through customs, write me at moonpanther2004@yahoo.com, as I have become an expert on what I can send and what I cannot.

I will take care of all the customs paperwork and shipping fees. As thanks come in I will post them Any help you are willing to give to support our troops will be greatly appreciated. On your letters if you wish to have a penpal or adopt a soldier you may put your address. If not use my mailing address above and I will post their replies at pagansunited2004@yahoogroups.com
