I am coming back into the Pagan world after many years away caused mainly by a great bout of indecision.
I haven't decided which path I'm supposed to walk.
I'm not so great at crossing the finishing line. Every time I get close I seem to move it back futher, or change the race entirely. My mind hops from one topic to the next, often with only most tenuous of links, and after many years of despising myself for it, I'm actually okay with it now. I'll never know everything. Most of the time I won't even know what it is I want to know! But I'll NEVER stop learning.
I wouldn't say I'm looking for a teaching, seeing as though everything and everyone in my life teaches me something, most often purely by accident. I am, however, lokoing for a mentor. I want to start to focus my mind and control my own energy, which can be unpredicatable and sporadic.
Back when I first discovered the many joys of Paganism, I was highly interested in the powers of correspondances, and in soaking up as much knowledge as possible from other like minded people. I found I had an instinctive gift for cards, reading people and psychometry, but these talents seemed enitrely accidental and I never gave myself a chance to trust them. I dabbled in as many facets of earth religions as I could. I read volumes on solitary practices, covens. Went to Pagans in the Pubs meetings where I met wonderful people who taught me about Wiccan and Shamanism and Chaos and many other fantastically different things.
I am always surrounded by people, yet live an extrememly lonely life. Looking to connect with other Pagans. Obviously :-)
