I'm a registered nurse living in Halifax for the last 9 years, I graduated from Dalhousie University in May 2008.
5 years ago I discovered the path I wanted to follow - on Imbolc. Until then I was wandering in the dark... After a long while of solitary practice, I've now found a growing community to practice and grow with spiritually.
I consider myself a kitchen witch primarly, where my magic that I share with others is passed on in food. I am also heavily influenced by Gardnerian, Celtic practices, and am now adding shamanism (Native and African) to that list. I suppose that means "eclectic"...
I grew up on a cattle farm, and am a strong advocate that eating meat is NOT WRONG - if it's done right (i.e., is organic, is free range, is local, is painfree for the animal) . My cows are very happy, and return to our bodies and to the earth to restart the cycle of life again.
In my spare time, I'm hanging out with my boyfriend, reading, organizing something or other - it's something I love to do!!
I work with a number of different local pagan organizations, and lead at least two public rituals yearly. I dedicate much of my spare time to ESSNS, AEGIS, or an organization that myself and 2 others have founded: Pagans Atlantic Coalition East.
I'm a firm believer that this community (in Nova Scotia) is awesome, albeit has a few flaws, like all communities. I have a dream that I'll be able to be a part of rebuilding, and strengthening our community. (See the letter to the community about Pagans Atlantic Coalition East) .
I'm in a happy relationship, and am not looking for another person to augment that with.
