Though I was raised in a devout Roman Catholic household, the essence, the roots of Paganism were never made to be very far from my heart.
It was my Father who taught me the magic of herbal remedies and natural healing, and, as a child, my Aunties inadvertently introduced me to Goddess Worship & spell work through their devotion to the Blessed Virgin;

To this day, I retain a special connection with Her. Though my Patron is 180 degrees from the Virgin, in times of sorrow, I still find comfort in Her presence.
During my adolescent years, I began studying & practising Paganism with my dear Sister WestWinds. As we learned and grew, friends began taking an interest in our Craft, and, in 2004, a Circle was born. Our group at the time never really had a name (though, looking back, we affectionately refer to ourselves as “the Rejects”) , it was the foundation for what would become, in 2009, the Silver Roan Circle.
WestWinds and I never really believed in, or felt comfortable with, the staunch hierarchy of a traditional coven, so we forewent the traditional High Priest/ess roles in favour of values that are very dear to our hearts. We created a Circle; a tradition, based on Sharing Responsibility, Consensus, Communication, and Community. When WitchHazel joined the SRC in 2010, two young boys in tow, another, very important aspect was added to the list; Family.
On a personal level, I identify myself as a Green Pagan Kitchen Witch. A lot of words to basically say that I am Pagan, a Witch, every day of my life, not just when the Sabbats roll around. My passions are herbal remedies, natural health, energy, aura, and chakra work, yoga, breath-work, meditation, trance-work and trance-writing, music in all its forms, spirit/ghost work, divination, and folk magic.
My place within the SRC is… everywhere! Though, officially, I am one of the Three Pillars and Co-Founder, I am by no means the “Big Kahuna”. I believe my role is more akin to “the nag”. My responsibilities include writing rituals, rites, meditations, and spells, verifying that Events are organized and posted, making sure the Social Media pages and Website is running smoothly, mediating conflict, teaching, mentoring, following up on event attendance, writing courses, workshops, and lessons… My title is “General Co-Ordinator” only because it sounds more professional than my actual role; “Harasser General”…
I am a healer, a cook, a sister, an auntie, a lover, a writer, a creator, but, most importantly, I am a Witch.
