I've been "officially" Asatru since 2001, but known about it and respected it for much longer; one of my lifelong interests is comparative mythology and religion. I now serve as the Steward for Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi for the Troth, a national organization of Asatruar / Heathens / Theodsmen / and others who honor and worship our Gods. Asatru is the reforged and rebuilt religion of the ancient Germanic peoples, often emphasizing the Gods and rites and ways as they were known and done in Viking-era Scandinavia. Other people today focus on the Gods and ways of Anglo-Saxon England, or continental Europe -- to make a long story short, "Heathenism" or "Heathenry" is probably the most general and inclusive term for what I follow.
It's my job to help anyone in the Ark-La-Miss region who's looking for more information about our faith, or who's looking for fellow Heathens in this region. Even if you're not a resident of these three states, feel free to contact me through WitchVox for information and assistance; if I can't help out, I'll try to find someone who can.
