Root's Profile...
Root is a member of the North Bay Reclaiming community and has been happily out of the broom closet since 2008. In 2012, she became a part of the North Bay Ritual Planning Cell, co-creating and facilitating rituals in Sonoma County and beyond. She is continually developing her skills as a facilitator, ritualist and student teacher. Often found contemplating a pile of craft supplies, she takes great joy in fiber arts and creating devotional pieces including ritual tools, garb and altar pieces.
She has been studying theology, philosophy and mythology for over 15 years and holds a particular interest in comparative studies; she is always looking for similarities and ways to bridge the gaps between seemingly disparate religious traditions. Her daily practice focuses on getting grounded and being in touch with deep emotions; to sit with them and really observe, without being overwhelmed.
