Magickal Path: Eclectic Military Listing? Yes! Age Group: Adult Occupation: USMC Gender: Female Relationship Status: Single Sexual Orientation: Straight
Located in: Camp Pendleton, California

Likes: Killing in the name of--just kidding. I like my job, I like my friends, I like writing, watching scifi/fantasy movies, reading anything and everything, traveling, spiders, cats, gargoyles, and have a somewhat recent infatuation with Chaos Magick.
Dislikes: "Beginner's Guide to...." , "Introduction to..." blah blah blah. That's all I can ever find as far as spellwork and gnosis and so on. I dislike pretentiousness, but it kinda comes with the territory in this particular religious grouping. Those people, and those others that are sitting around waiting for the universe to drop a teacher into their lap. Part of the journey is finding the path to begin with.

Oh see now I don't know what to put here, too much above.
I'm in the Marine Corps, fairly new to the whole operation, and now that I'm at my permanent duty station I can explore the pagan network here as I did back home in Washington.
The sad part about Washington was yes, there are many pagans and spiritualists and so on, but unless they're in Eastern Washington their organization leaves much to be desired. I have always been in Western Washington around Seattle which is a crazy weird place but I love it so.
All I'm really looking for on witchvox is some advice as to where are the best places to go for things like pagan festivals, public circles, and which occult shops are legit and which ones are next on the agenda for those frequenting Hot Topic and Starbucks.
Not that I have anything against Starbucks, but that and HT seem to be a combination indicating one of those lovable little quickie witches. I have my favorite drinks there, I don't know...I think it would just seem disloyal if I didn't.
If there's anyone in Camp Pendleton reading this, drop me a line.
As I stated in my likes I've been reading about Chaos Magick recently and it seems to make the most sense so far. Not entirely, so my spirituality does seem to doomed to be a mix-and-match sort of affair. I'm okay with it, there are many worse past-times than DIY religion. I've been reading the works of Pete Carrol, Joseph Max, and Frater Elijah. I gotta say that Joseph Max is my favorite so far, but I should get through all three manuscripts before I make a judgment.
My religion and I have been through a lot together. I started several years ago with reading....I don't know if I can even bring myself to say it....but she's so mainstream it was the only thing I could get my hands on....Silver RavenWolf. Shortly thereafter I was saved by Scott Cunningham. After a while I became deeply engrossed in Welsh Mythology, to this day I don't know why. Still, it remains my favorite. I used to do a lot of solitary ritual and spellcrafting, but now since I share a room at the barracks it's pretty hard to do. My circles are solid, but not that solid.
Well this is a tl;dr if I ever saw one. See you later, mountain face.
