Likes: I like learning new things. I love love love incense, oils and anything to do with bath time. Homemade all natural scented soaps are my favorite. I love cooking. Also, I love art. I love doing digital art mainly, but also like doing traditional mediums such as, pencil and pens.
Dislikes: I don't like people who are closed minded. I don't like people who only are 'friends' with you whenever they need something. I don't like having no friends what-so-ever in a town as wonderful as this.
Currently on my year and a day. Ok, been a while since I updated, I am now on Day 14. I didn't really care too much for all that meditative sun walking and moon walking stuff, so I just stuck with the guided visual meditation. I am more of a visual person anyways. So far, still wildly intrigued and wholly satisfied by this. :) Hope it stays that way.
Oh, I have heard a lot of negative social remarks towards the term "kitchen witch". What is so wrong with that term that it has everyone who mutters it in such a dishevel? I would think that it would be a good, almost endearing term, for those witches who love cooking and like to share their passion with Wicca and cooking with their loved ones. Do you think it might have something to do with the fact that in this religion, the goddess is revered just as equally as the god and that perhaps maybe women witches feel as if this is a way to push women back into the domesticated role? I can see especially how this would effect Dianic members of Wicca due to the fact that they are more "woman power" centered and probably pretty much abhor anything to do with woman being classified into stereotypes such as that.
I look at it this way. When you were growing up, who did you go to when all you needed was a big batch of homemade cookies to make all your troubles disappear? You didn't go to Grandpa, you went to Grandma. I don't see that as demeaning, but something, that if embraced properly and with the right attitude, can bring multiple generations of women together in unity.
Face it girls, the gods are awesome on the grill, but us goddesses really know how to throw together a feast! Celebrate that! There isn't a thing wrong with it!
P.S. This place really needs a forum.
