MegasTu's Profile...

Merry meet!

My name is William Halstead. I also go by Bill and by MegasTu. My husband and I live just off of the downtown area of Colorado Springs.

I am turning 58 years old this March, just after Ostara. I was first introduced to Wicca back around 1978 or 1979. I attended my fist Wiccan ritual on Samhain in 1987 while I lived in the Bronx.

I was raised mostly in Security, Colorado—back when there was a working farm right behind Pinello Elementary. When I attended Sproul Junior High, like so many other kids, I used to cut across a part of the farm to get to the back of the school. Bradley Estates did not exist when I was a teen.

My husband and I first began to earnestly study Wicca around 1990 or 1991. We began our studies with some of Scott Cunningham’s books. These included his Guide For The Solitary Practitioner and his follow up, his Further Guide For The Solitary Practitioner.

We did our first spell together around January 1993. We were living in a basement apartment in the middle of Queens, a real dump. We decided that we wanted something better, something in a good neighborhood, something safe, and something close to public transportation. Well, we quickly found an apartment in Staten Island, about two blocks from the local police station and about three blocks from the Staten Island ferry terminal!

We moved out to Colorado Springs in 1994 and, in 1995, became involved with Earth Spirit Pagans (ESP) . We used to attend their public rituals, off and on. Unfortunately, they appear to be defunct now.

In 2001, I began studying with the Correllians, before they started Witch School. I earned my First Degree in October of that year and I received my Second Degree in 2009. I am on hiatus right now, but I am getting ready to resume my studies for my Third Degree.

I am looking for a spiritual family, a working coven that observes the Sabbats and the Esbats. I want an environment where members can and do work, learn, and celebrate together. I am not looking for orgies and/or wild parties. I do not do any drugs and I rarely drink alcohol.

Thank you!
