I am a practitioner of many different views of life and magic. I take the philosophies of many to form my own understanding of the world. I believe that not one religion or set of ideas are correct, but if we take a look at the common beliefs of each religion and decide for ourselves which are the most valuable and useful, we can create for ourselves a set of beliefs that are perfect for the individual and not the whole. I don't believe in a cookie cutter world where everything must fit together like so; we are all different and therefore must embrace diversity, not stamp it out.
Many of my fellow practitioners out there may say such things, but very few of them actually perform them. I have found the magical community to be a group of backstabbing hypocrites, and so I have removed myself from the community, save only a few who have not disappointed me.
I am not a white lighter; nor do I use solely the black arts. To truly embrace diversity one must embrace all sides of reality, and reality is this; there is no good without evil, and no evil without good. To ignore one aspect of yourself is to unbalance your inner self. I celebrate my dark with my light, and I expect other true practitioners to do the same.
