I met my first Wiccan while taking a Reiki I course in my late 20s. Years later having studied Course in Miracles and attending Unity Church, I became aware of magick, manifesting one's desires, and the power of mental focus and clarity of purpose. So in my early 40s my husband became a Seeker having a friend introduce him to Wicca through books. Through his exploration, I found that at heart I was Wiccan in all ways except name, and had been Wiccan all my life. I began my journey to learn more and I have been doing so ever since. My spouse does drive me and friends crazy with the amount of raw data in his skull from his vast library of books, and I make him crazy with creating yet another herb garden, but together we are a team learning, growing, and experiencing the joys of our path. We have also found that all Pagans we have encountered in our travel, at stores, workshops, festivals, and just social gatherings are all exceptional people--empowered by their beliefs and the fellowship of all.
