Greetings. My name is Ami and I share my home with my husband, Carey, two small sons, and two daughters. Our oldest son James is 9. He's unstoppable yet at the same time very shy. He loves to build with blocks, enjoys the guitar, adores robots and believes he can't live without his trucks (and skateboard) . Our little monkey Charles is 8 and he is the best gift ever received on a birthday. He's a wonderful, sunny guy with a wonderful sense of humor; very inquisitive and artistic. Our oldest daughter, Meradydd (or DeeDee as her brothers call her) is 7. (It's pronounced Meradith.) She is an opinionated and exceedingly bossy little girl that also has a temper to match her copper hair. (Her initials spell MARS, a complete accident, so what does that say?) . She is my artist, dancer, gymnast Nature lover. Our last addition is 5. We received another beautiful little girl, Kathrynn. Finally, we've got one with my dark coloring! I had my fingers crossed that for once my dominant coloring would beat out my husbands exceedingly undominant coloring. He was up by three and that's really not fair. :D My husband looked like he was going to turn into a career student but he's finally graduated!
I grew up in a very open and I guess you could say Pagan environment although it was never structured. My mother and her parents believe in the paranormal, etc. so we started learning about it at a young age. I'm still not sure how my Native American grandfather did some of the things he did. My mother taught us to always love the earth and to care for Her as much as we were capable of. So it was natural that I would branch out wanting to learn more and I've had a lot of fun, met a lot of new people and learned a bit along the way. I'm pretty eclectic in my studies and I've learned a lot because of that since I don't limit myself. Right now I'm studying for the Corellian First Degree. I want to learn everything before I make my mind up about anything. I'm taking classes for animal care and I've also been studying a lot about herbalism and really enjoy learning about that. My mom has a good knowledge of it and I grew up around it but it hasn't been until the last several years that I've really taken an interest in it. Mostly since my children have been born and I realized that a simple inexpensive tea might help them just as much if not better than an expensive trip to the doctor and/or expensive synthetic medecines. My mother and I also have a home based business for natural soaps, balms, etc. We use only the most natural and finest ingredients that we are able to find.
