Likes: I love peace, music, reading, cello, history, singing, learning, dance, music, light, dark, poetry, music, serenity, balance, did I mention music?, the shades of gray that make life meaningful and interesting. To be alone, almost anywhere in nature, in the dark, with the moon and stars shining overhead. The sense of overwhelming stillness. The knowledge that you are merely a part of a greater whole. The feeling of being nowhere and everywhere at once. Hot Chocolate. ;) Oh, and music.
Dislikes: I dislike the things that further the manifestation of true darkness: ignorance, fear, anger, hatred, destruction. I also dislike pain, although I realize that a certain amount is required in life to make the joys that much sweeter. Oh, and coffee. I just can't stand coffee.

Hello. I just graduated with a degree in history from a university in DC. I'm an academic and an artist (specifically musician) at heart, and am on my way to joining the Peace Corps. I'm excited to be alive, and ready to take on the world. (Yes, that would be the romantic idealist inside of me speaking.) I am insatiably curious about just about everything, and love to learn by reading and listening.
But, anyway, I would love to meet people who are like-minded and like-spirited, so feel free to email me.
