Goddess Within's Profile...
I was originally attuned to Reiki in 1992. My plan was to create an energywork practice adjacent to an ordinary day job. Exposure to Reiki, and my first experiences with energywork, disrupted everything from my plan to my basic understanding about who I was.
Although I grew up in a haunted Victorian house, my family's religious views were a hindrance to claiming or exploring my intuitive gifts. After I became attuned to Reiki, I started experiencing intuitive flashes that I could no longer ignore. Developing my abilities--and coming out of the psychic closet--have proven to be lifelong endeavors.
In 2002, I attended a massage certificate program in Florida. That year, I began offering massage to clients along with Reiki, as well as beginning to share intuitive Tarot readings with friends. My knowledge and practice have continued to evolve since that time. Moving to Maryland helped me to gain a fresh perspective about the field.
Since I believe that flow is integral to a healthy relationship with the self, I include meditation, crafting, and writing as part of my practice. You are invited to participate in these outcroppings.
I am currently seeking fellow adventurers to sign up for the National Novel Writing Month festivities that I offer.
