I'm a professor, a husband, a father, an athlete, and the lamest comedian ever.
I am a semi-regular panelist on the downloadable iTunes PodCast "Ask the Professor, " a comedy/trivia show featuring zany, eclectic professors like myself. I've mentioned Witchvox, Wicca, and Paganism on the show a few times in the past, and seem to have developed a small but amusingly obsessive following. Merry meet, all! :)
I have a very practical approach to being pagan. I worship the Earth by trying to make it a better place. In other words, I don't engage in a lot of ritual; I'm more inclined toward going out and doing good things, with or without magick. Nature is my church, and my wife is my altar.
I'm a scientist (a mathematician, specifically) , and I'm fascinated with the interconnections between science and religion. It's interesting from a psychological standpoint the various ways different people deal with the cognitive dissonance between their ideologies and accepted scientific knowledge.
My hobbies include two sports which I'm very passionate about: baseball and curling. I'm also a writer, or would like to be, time permitting.
