i'm a witch trying to live a simple life, provide my own basic sustenance, and love the earth as best i can. i play most of the time, love existing outside and absorbing the sun and the sounds of nature and being surrounded by (and creating!) miracles.
i also enjoy creating things without having to buy supplies. i like to make recycled books from boxed foods and used paper, sew menstrual pads and toilet wipes, and otherwise find fun and simple ways to need less from civilization and corporations.
i'm looking for a local community that i can share good energy with and celebrate the cycles of the earth.
fall 2010:
as of fall of 2010 all this is still true. i've lived in a lot of places over the past five years, and in the spring will return to a corner of missouri to re-start a homestead. my focus right now is research and preparation - learning skills like brain tanning, woodworking, quilting, improvised thatching, wild and medicinal herbalism, low energy food prep, forest gardening, and more.
i'm doing my best to adjust ahead of time to the lifestyle i will have in missouri - living in a Very basic/rough shelter with no heat, electricity, plumbing, or car, and growing most of my own food. this means that right Now, i sleep in an attic with no heat, am doing my best to buy only basic/primary foodstuff rather than anything processed, am nourishing myself with herbal infusions and other simple medicines, and am continuing to build on many habits that help me live more sustainably and with less money.
fall 2011:
i spent the growing season continuing to establish my homestead in rural northeastern missouri. i'm in a small town nearby my land for the winter working and saving up money. i'd love to meet local pagans to connect with.
summer 2012:
work on the homestead is progressing. i've got dairy goats and chickens, a summer house in progress made from shipping pallets, and am winterizing my shed. went to spiralheart witchcamp and am looking for local reclaiming tradition folks to connect with.
