I've only been Wiccan for a short time (sometime around October or November of 2005) , but I studied it for a little while before I decided to commit my life to it. I am hoping that I can meet more fellow Wiccans and Pagans so that I'll have a chance to learn more.
I love the peace that I've found since I've dedicated my life to the Craft. It feels wonderful. I grew up with my parents (mostly my mother) teaching me the Christian beliefs, and became a Christian when I was in my early 20's. I followed that life for a long time, but no matter what, I still felt like there was something missing.
I was re-introduced to Wicca a little while after I moved out to Texas, but my cousin was one of the first ones to talk to me about Magick, and things of the like; and my sister's boyfriend told me a little about Wicca. But my husband is the one who helped me decide to travel this path. I used to find myself going to the New Age section of bookstores, and looking at the material. I found it very interesting, but at the time I was also a Christian, so, of course I didn't stay in that section too long.
But now that I look back at my life back then, and my life now, and I wish someone could have introduced me to Wicca a long time ago.
Well, I guess that's all of my life story. lol
