I may have been the person who birthed the Highland Wild Coven, but there are midwives who have been with me since the labor pains began. So, I am the High Priestess, but I am not the only one to give shape and color to the entitiy that is Highland Wild.
Howver, since I am often the first point of contact and still make several decisions in the operation of the coven, I will attempt to give an understanding of who I am.
My Craft background includes training in a coven in the Gardnerian Tradition. My life experiences- including spiritually, involve my participation in radical community. I was involved in a community art and performance group during the time I was receiving training in a coven. I am now involved in the community with CERES, Mother Grove and Transformus.
I believe in radical self-expression balanced with personal responsibility and self-reliance. I see ties to the Craft maxim to 'Know Thyself'. I realize that humanity is a gritty, hard, and sometimes ugly race to be a part of. However, I know that it is capable of so much more. I have seen it and experienced it and I encourage it in whatever ways I can devise.
We do not strive to live 'perfect' charmed, calm and peaceful lives. We strive to bring charm, magic, and mystery into our own lives, and others when possible. We strive to meet challenges with grace. We strive to know when and how to forge change and when to accept and learn. We ever seek out the mystery in our hearts, in others, and in the Universe.
